SOUTH SHORE KY: Mr. Floyd Edwin Fore, 87, of South Shore, Kentucky, went to be with his lord Monday, Aug. 8, 2011 in Kings Daughter Medical Center, in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born May 16, 1924 in Fresno, California, a son of the late Edwin Fore and Edith Fly Fore.
He was a meat cutter and truck driver for the former Herman's Meats in Portsmouth, Ohio, a Veteran of WW II, a member of the Maloneton Pilgrim Holiness Church at Maloneton, Kentucky and he attended the Fellowship Baptist Church in South Shore, Kentucky.
Preceded in death by his wife Alka R. Smallwood Fore, Aug 8, 1998.
Surviving is one son and his wife, Michael "Delilah" Fore of South Portsmouth, Kentucky; two daughters, Gwen Smith and Jackie "Winford" Lowder, both of South Shore; Kentucky; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services 1 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky, with Rev. Bob Copley officiating. Burial will be in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Kentucky.
Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 till 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. on Thursday. Military graveside servivces by the James L. Flannery American Legion Post # 276 of South Shore, Kentucky.
